Fire drill info and test form

Managers are to complete a fire drill every six months at each venue as advised by local fire authority.

All staff will have read evacuation procedure when they completed their starter form. When you are going to do a fire drill, remind the staff to read the evacuation procedure prior to the test, this is good practice as it keeps staff aware of what to do.

How to complete the Drill form below. Write down all staff members names who are at the venue taking part in the drill, make sure everyone is aware of their roles during the test, identify who key staff are and who would effectively be making the call to the fire services and remind them of their rolls, this is to include doorstaff and DJ’s (DJ’s will turn off music in event of a fire). You can set the alarm off to simulate fire, if you do, ensure it is on test first, alternatively you can do it without alarm on. Once the drill is initiated, note down the time, stand at the front of the venue ticking off staff members on the staff list, then make way over to the call point, call out everyones names to double check everyone is present, then note the time again and complete the form below.
